For the books found within the sections below, every aspect of book creation from concept to market was to be carried out and managed by myself.
Although a monumental task, I relished every second. To hold the finished product in your hands is a special moment indeed!
THE STEPS
Concept - flesh out ideas, create story boards whilst working with an editor.
Design - digitally arrange images with text to achieve desired page compositions.
Artwork - create more detailed illustrations and nail down an aesthetic. Allow for margins, gutter and additions of varying sized personalisation.
Checks - send PDFs for external eyes to check imagery and copy - make amendments.
Sample - request a physical sample for final sign off by Creative Director, provide to Photographer for product imagery.
Set Up - convert artwork within an internal personalised software so that required text fields and images are editable.
Communicate - provide new product information to trade, back end developers and web team.
Printing - communicate print spec and provide generated artwork to the relevant production team.
