Being very new to illustrated children’s books ‘The Magical World of Mermaids’ book was not my original choice of subject matter to work with, as at the time I did not believe I could create suitable imagery for a product that was intended to be marketed towards girls aged 3-6 yrs. But I am so glad I got the opportunity as it manifested one of my favourite and visually exciting books I have ever created.

BRIEF -

Working with writers, come up with an entertaining personalised story revolving around a Mermaids that must be appealing to 3-6 yr old girls with colourful aesthetics. Featuring in Hard and Softback versions. It must involve the child and encourage reading/joining in. The child’s name must feature throughout the story and hidden within the imagery.
